When I’m feeling down, unworthy, scared, under qualified, insecure, unprepared, or unprotected.
The Lord-God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob goes before me and the glory of the Lord becomes my rear guard. God is the truth without doubt. God is all powerful. With the smallest prayers God has given me comfort and power to deal with my fears and doubts. I submit and release it all to The Almighty. Thanking Him as He takes my weakness and insecurities; making them my strengths.
The first of the twelve disciples, Peter, was a nobody; a fisherman with an anger problem. Matthew was a tax collector that no one liked and God’s prophet Moses was a shepherd with a speech problem. Each one of these great men of the Bible had weaknesses, but God used them just the way they were. God used their doubts and weaknesses to reveal how great He was. These men weren’t great men in the beginning, they were weak and they were sinners! Peter suffered from unbelief; he rejected the Christ three times. Still Christ told Mary Magdalene when He rose from the grave, “Get Peter and tell him to come to me”. Peter was the first person Christ asked for.
Moses killed a man and lost his temper many times with the Jewish people. A lot of the time, Moses had to deal with insecurity problems, just feeling unprepared for God’s calling on his life. Though Moses felt this way, God never saw Moses through that same lens. He saw Moses as a mighty man. Through Moses obedience and prayers God was able to use him to do great things!
King David killed a man outside of battle and was an adulterer that got another mans wife pregnant, but he was a man after Gods own heart. God loved David; He used him to conquer many nations and is probably the greatest king to ever live on this earth. All of these men were retched sinners but these men seeked God’s face and gave their lives to God. God worked through these men and used them to do great things for His glory. This shows me that God’s grace is greater than ANY of my sins, it has to be or this would make the whole Bible a lie. Nothing is too big or too hard for God. God is greater then any of my weaknesses or sins. No man is greater than God; so no person can commit a sin too great for God to forgive, this is not possible! (This does not mean continue in sin, once you’ve given your life to Christ you should not want to sin.) There is no one that God can’t forgive and grant them eternal life. In fact God said, “He did not send His son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved though Him” (John 3:17) so who do we think we are to say “God can’t forgive my sins”? There is always room at the Cross. Through God’s unfailing Word, I have learned to drop to my knees and ask for forgiveness for my sins, to submit to God and reach out for his undying love, mercy and grace.
This is a short clip of what God has put on my heart to encourage anyone who may read this writing. I am an infant in my walk as a Christian but felt lead to share the love of Christ with brothers and sisters and soon to be brothers and sisters in Christ.
